kathys no longer in her twenties :(

way back in august i had my 30th birthday. not really a huge fan of no longer being in my twenties - but seriously - its just a number. if i tell myself i'm only 22 - who's to say i'm not? ;D

moving!!!

we have a WONDERFUL new home. :) i am absolutely in love with it. it is placed in the most absolute perfect neighborhood! we couldn't be happier with the house we chose.

but there wasn't a camera on hand on moving day...these are the ONLY two pictures i have. ah well...




see the group of people at the top of the stairs? they're all waiting to move furniture into the master bedroom. what are the waiting for? well i think someone got the loveseat stuck in the doorframe. :D supermom eventually went to the rescue and got it through - rhett says we're taking that loveseat out in pieces. HA.

my littlest baby is two

my little baby marie is two years old! it's funny how time seems to fly and crawl by at the same time. :) here's some snapshots of our celebrations.

we celebrated at home with cake and presents.

we also celebrated with mimi and grandaddy before they left for overseas.

eben comes running into the kitchen to find me and exclaims:

marie is going through a phase where she loves to change her clothes. she'll disappear for a few minutes into her room and come out in a completely different outfit - sure it's backwards, inside out, and not buttoned up - but its a new outfit she put on all by herself. at least 5 times a day!

eben and emily jane decided to carry marie around in a laundry basket - and i ran for the camera! eben was somehow pretending to save her from something? he kept walking into my bedroom (the lights were off) and saying in his most foreboding voice "the dark of dead!" it was hilarious! probably too much he-man. haha

rhett rented an incredibly hulk movie for eben tonight. during an exciting part, he said:

"Whoa! Double Whoa!"

and we are finished with the crib stage!

i have been contemplating and toying with the idea of moving marie to a big girl bed lately. mostly when i walked in and found her like spiderman up against the wall standing on the crib railing and calling "mooooooooommmmaaaaaaaaa!"!!! that girl is FULL of personality and surprises!

so tonight i made the deicision it was time. no more trying it out - we are doing it! so after a rough afternoon nap, she's peacefully asleep tonight in her big girl castle bed in the room with emily jane's castle bed. :)

now i had planned on sleeping the girls in the same room so eben could have his own BOY room. boy toys - boy decorations - boy everything. he seemed so excited about the idea! so i moved his bed in there and his castle with his men...

then he asks "can emily jane sleep in here with me?"

i said "i thought you wanted to have a boy room? and the girls would have a girls room?"

he said WORD FOR WORD "are you kidding me? she is the bestest sister in the whole wide world! this can be a boy and girl room!"

MELTS MY HEART :D

so i took one side of the crib rail off and let emily jane put her princess sheets on there. and they're happily settled in for the night. not quite asleep but almost. :)

we'll see how long it lasts. haha
