rhett brought eben's lunch to him and since eben was still in his superman pajamas he said,

"here's your lunch, superman."

and eben replied quite nonchalantly

"thank you batman."

emily jane came up to me all sweet and innocent and said, "mommy, i love you" then put her arms around my neck to hug me and THEN went "bbbbpppppbbbb" on my neck!!! little sneaky stinker! she is the first to bull kiss me or whatever its called....i laughed SO hard!

we rented the tale of despereaux for eben to watch and as he was watching it rhett asked

rhett: is it funny eben?

eben: nope.

rhett: is it scary?

eben: nope. its just right dadda.

i've been trying to potty train emily jane - we have good days and bad days - but today i was explaining YET AGAIN

me: emily jane, if you feel pee pee coming, you have to go really fast to the bathroom! you can't just go pee pee in your big girl panties or on the floor. so when your pee pee is coming, go to the bathroom!

emily jane (eyes wide, VERY dramatically and drawn out, acting like this is a brand new concept and she just got it): oooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo

HA! as if this is a new concept and i hadn't already explained this every day for the past few months.
